      A silent auction is a fundraising technique frequently used at charity events. It differs from the typical auction conducted by an auctioneer who calls out the prices for items and then takes the raised hands or paddles of people as bids at a certain price. I am hoping to set up a page, event, or group to auction products and services that have been donated to me as a fundraising effort for my mum's medical bills. Items and photos (mainly wedding services) would be listed and people have the ability to bid on the item - similar to how 'pay it forward' page lists items.

Silent Auction is a far cry from Ms. Mcgee's first novel, Dream Invader. It is geared more for adults instead of younger readers. I enjoyed the story line- /5(8). Silent Auction is the fifth Josie Prescott Antiques Mystery novel. Though, it can be read as a stand alone novel.

This book just happens to be the first time I have read anything by this author. After reading this book, I have to wonder why I haven’t tried one of the books /5.
